Hi, I’m 09TAM and this is my first blog.

This year, in Eighth Grade I look forward to many things. One thing I look forward to the most is going to open houses and looking at high schools. Another thing I am looking forward to is being a leader of The Children’s Storefront. The last thing I am looking forward to is seeing my daddy smile at my graduation.

Billie Joe Armstrong-

Billie Joe Armstrong’s blog was about Leonardo DiCaprio. Billie Joe Armstrong explained that he and his wife went to the movies to see Leo’s new movie, The 11th Hour, and they thought is was great. He also explained that everyone should take time to actually watch the movie because it is so good.

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda-

The next blog I looked at was a blog about Mike Shinoda. Mike stated the tour dates and the songs for Projekt Revolution. He also explained how the show was going to be and what to look forward to.

What does blog, byte, kilobyte, megabyte, a gigabyte, and memory stick mean?

Blog- a blog is a website that people use to tell about certain events.

Byte- a byte is a keystroke

Kilobyte- a kilobyte is equal to 1000 bytes

Megabyte- a megabyte is equal to one million bytes

Gigabyte- a gigabyte is equal to 10 thousand bytes

Memory Stick- a memory stick is a device that holds memory

(tam ) Yes, I understand I am responsible for HW assignments when absent.

 (tam ) Yes, I understand that if do not get my HW done I will no longer have laptop privileges and will need to schedule an assigned recess time slot from that point on to complete HW before due. 

 ( tam) Yes, I understand that this year I need to bring my binder to class each week and if not, I may not be allowed to use a computer during class. 

 ( tam) Yes, I understand that there is no “recreational use” of computers except with explicit permission.

      If I were the president of the United States, what I would do first is, I would try to come up with ways to help the environment. I would do this by, making sure that all of the petitions and all documents that have to do with the environment are signed by me.  The next thing I would do is, I would make sure that all taxes are reduced for less fortunate citizens and the taxes would stay the same or exceed for people with higher incomes. The last thing I would do is, I would make sure that all emo/punk/gothic people are treated equally among everyone else.

BLUE BOOK- rough draft

I have been at this school since I was in pre-k which is about 8 years. I always thought that I wouldn’t have to be doing this for a long while, but as the years go by, it seems as if the years are getting shorter and shorter by the second. Now, I am here in 8th Grade, getting ready to move on to bigger and hopefully better things in life. 

My experience at the Storefront has been the greatest experience ever. My favorite thing about Storefront is the feeling you get when you are here. Whenever you enter Storefront, it seems as if you can’t pull yourself out of it. My greatest experience at the Storefront was working with Ms. Owen in her very exciting Language Enrichment classes. In Ms. Owen’s class, I read my first Shakespeare play, which was Romeo and Juliet. I absolutely loved it. To this very day I still watch the movie and I am looking forward to reading the play again in High School.

After I leave Storefront I see myself at a wonderful high school that is probably much like Storefront. After attending High School I plan to go to college and major in English and minor in a class like Law, Business, or Finance. Hopefully after going to the college of my choice and graduating, I will achieve my lifetime goal of becoming a Lawyer/Writer.

When I leave the Storefront, I would like to tell the other students of Storefront, to never be afraid to try anything. Whether it is, a type of food you never tried before, or even reading a book you don’t think you are going to like. Most likely you are going to like what you try. Through my years at Storefront  I learned that if you are willing to try something new, there will always be someone there to help you through it.
